Dear Parents,

We are delighted to extend an invitation to your child to compete at our highly anticipated annual event, the Levels Champion of Champions! This year, we are thrilled to announce that the competition will be Hawaiian-themed, promising a fun and vibrant atmosphere for all participants.

At this prestigious event, gymnasts will have the opportunity to showcase their routines and compete in the level they have been participating in at the Grand Prix competitions. Additionally, for those gymnasts who feel ready for an extra challenge, we are offering the chance to compete in the level above their regular competition level for 2023.

One major change is the introduction of new Skills for gymnasts competing at their regular level. This means that they will have the opportunity to showcase their upgraded skills on the apparatus they feel most comfortable with, without having to compete at the next level on all four apparatuses. This change aims to motivate gymnasts to push themselves and perform their best, even if they choose not to move up a level.

For those gymnasts who are competing at a new level, they will still compete on all four apparatuses. We understand that routines may not be perfect and mistakes can happen as athletes transition into new levels. However, this competition serves as an excellent practice ground for them to gain experience and prepare for future challenges.

We are also excited to announce the students who will be participating in the upcoming Aloha Competition in Hawaii will be competing their routines in accordance with the USA Gymnastics guidelines as part of this practice competition.

In order to provide a standardised scoring system, all performances will be evaluated on a scale of 10.0. This allows gymnasts and coaches to accurately assess their progression and track improvements as they strive towards excellence.

In an effort to enhance the diversity and creativity of your routines, we have decided that all levels will be performing to different pieces of music instead of the usual GYMNSW set music. This change will provide a unique opportunity for each participant to showcase their individual style and personality through the chosen music. It also allows for greater artistic expression, making the competition even more exciting and engaging for both participants and spectators.

Please note that the list of gymnasts and their respective levels is currently in draft mode. We aim to finalise it soon and will share it with you promptly. Rest assured that every effort is being made to ensure accuracy and fairness in determining each gymnast’s appropriate competition level.

Additionally, each gymnast in the mixed teams will be required to wear a different colored hair scrunchie as part of their team identification. This will not only enhance team spirit but also make it easier for everyone to recognise and support their team during the competition.

Please note that teams will be announced on Monday, 20th November when entries are due. We encourage all parents and gymnasts to submit their entries promptly so that we can ensure a successful and well-organised event.

We are thrilled to invite you and your family to come and spectate at our upcoming event, where our talented students will be showcasing their incredible routines. It promises to be an amazing display of talent, and we would love for you to be a part of it!

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have organised seating options for the event. You can choose from the following ticket categories:

1. VVIP Seating: $20.00 entry – Enter through front door 1:30pm

2. VIP Seating: $10.00 entry – Enter through front door 1:40pm

3. General Seating: $5.00 entry – Enter through front door 1:50pm

4. Stand up area: Free – Enter through BACK door 1:50pm
